Our Summer Garden

I was totally opposed to a garden this year!  It seemed like more work than I was up for.  You know what?  I was right!  I am so sick of picking veggies!  It was fun for about a month...

 

We DID love watching the deer come eat from our garden!

Sodderbug name change

In the middle of September Sodderbug is changing to

Simply Janelle Designs.  

The new web site is in the works but in the mean time please hop on over to my new Facebook page and "like" it IF you like my work.  I went from making children's clothes under O Sew Precious, to soldering, under Sodderbug, and now to designing and making furniture and home decor out of old barn wood.  I will continue to make the soldered photo charms.  Like a friend recently said to me, "Janelle you might be designing cars in 6 months!" whatever direction my mind takes me, Simply Janelle Designs covers everything!

BIG News and DIY business cards out of paper bags

I have been meaning to do a DIY tutorial on my business cards forever!  Now is the time because this is the last time I am making them!  In September Sodderbug will be no more.  But no worries, we are just going to have a new name and new web site!  Here you go:

First I cut the bags down to whatever size you choose.  You can do the standard 8 1/2 by 11.  I did 5 by 7.  No reason really.  They just fit nicely on that size. 

After they are all cut to size I just run them through my printer!  Every now and then one will get jammed in the printer.  I just remove it and keep going.

Cut them to business card size and you're done!
